Why should you choose an online accounting course?
Whether you’re looking to begin a career in accounting or want to progress in a career you already have, you can become a certified accountant from anywhere with a home learning course. Accounting and finance can be a difficult field to break into and succeed in, which is why these courses are so worthwhile. Having a certificate or diploma in accounting can set you apart from the competition, providing you with a comprehensive knowledge in all areas of accountancy and the confidence to put it into practice.
How do online accounting courses work?
Completing one of the registered accounting qualifications online gives you the freedom to study whenever and wherever you want. This makes it flexible around your work, allowing you to continue with your current role while gaining a certificate or diploma in accounting. It also means you can improve on your current accounting experience and knowledge while doing the job. Or, if you’re beginning a career in this field, you can fit the course around your schedule.
What qualifications will I get?
Depending on which course you choose, you’ll earn a qualification from either the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) or the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). AAT accountancy courses are suitable for those looking to enhance their accounting skills and expertise. Individuals looking to earn status as a chartered accountant can complete a longer ACCA accountancy course with us. This is one of the best ways to gain access into this type of career as it doesn’t require you to take any time out from work or lose out on vital experience – the two go hand in hand.
Why study accounting courses with AVADO?
All of our accountancy courses come with online support from your peer group on the campus forum and a personal tutor who you can contact for individual help. Our tutors are award-winning and we’ve been recognised by prestigious awarding bodies across the country for our distance learning programmes. What will you learn in an accounting course?
The level of your qualification will dictate how advanced the topics you study will be. On entry-level courses like AAT Level 2, you’ll be introduced to the most important concepts of accountancy. As you progress further through the AAT qualification, you’ll develop more complex knowledge and skills. ACCA has three sets of papers, within which you can complete each paper in any order depending on the topics you want to learn first.
What is a professional accountancy qualification?
A professional accountancy course is one that’s accredited by an accountancy body. Two of the biggest bodies are ACCA and AAT. At AVADO we provide online courses from both, meaning you get learning that has been approved by the industry experts. It also means that your qualification is recognised and sought after within the industry.
Are there courses for beginners?
If you’re considering a career change or are only just beginning your path to employment, you’ll want to find a course for accountancy that starts with the basics and introduces you to the most important concepts. For this, we recommend the AAT Level 2 Accountancy Course. There are no academic requirements to start studying AAT Level 2. However, we do strongly recommend you have some formal academic qualifications in Maths and English or formal work experience. If you don’t have any, we’ll just ask you to complete the AAT Skillcheck test to determine your most suited level. This involves multiple choice questions and is nothing to worry about. We understand that many people want to become accountants who don’t have any prior knowledge. This test is about finding the right level, not blocking you from starting on your pathway.
