Advertising and Media Executive

Executives support the day-to-day progress of the whole advertising process, from receiving the brief from the marketing team, including objectives, budget and timescales, through to the measurement of how effective the advertisement has been. 

On this Advertising and Media Executive level 3 apprenticeship programme, learners will create messages which are intended to inform or influence the people who receive them. They help build and maintain relationships with media owners and use this to help negotiate rates strategically and tactically, conscious of long-term relationships. Alongside the apprenticeship training, the IPA Foundation Certificate will give apprentices a deeper understanding of the advertising sector. 

On this programme, youll learn how to 
  • Work as part of a small team to receive briefs from media owners and help coordinate responses from the agency teams to feedback to them in a timely manner  
  • Support the overall day to day running of agency accounts and the seamless management of trading processes, monitoring progress and ensuring others involved in the process are on track to deliver output on time 
  • Recognise, listen to and influence people both internally and externally to deliver campaigns, manage expectationswhilst maintaining collaborative and long-term relationships 
  • Understand the TV market and propose solutions and potentially trade-offs between quality, cost and timescale, prioritising successfully 
  • Carry out relevant market research such as DDS, Mediatel, CARIA and trade press to help identify applicable opportunities for our clients and their target audience (recognising the consumer journey), advise team on competitor activity, and ensure project reaches key consumer audiences

  • Must already have English and Maths GCSEs at Grade C (4) or above and preferably a total of five GCSEs. 
  • Must have lived in the UK or EU for the past three years

Hours: 37.5 hr, Monday to Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
