Digital Marketer

The Ad operation function is central to Hearts and Science in how we deliver best practice, but also
and arguably more importantly, how we advance our capabilities moving forwards, helping to
develop our overall Ad Tech and Martech skills and knowledge as an agency.

This is a truly exciting role, where the learning opportunities are great. This is also a very forward
and future facing role where you will have the chance be at the center of media industry innovation.
As the Ad Ops and Analytics apprentice, you will work closely with our activation and advanced
analytics teams and be responsible to deliver best in class digital campaigns across a variety of online
and social media platforms to drive customer acquisition, customer engagement and customer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaising with internal teams to ensure campaign set up and delivery in a timely manner
  • Booking of all digital activity following the companies naming convention
  • Ensuring Financial consistency across the entire campaign cycle including monthly and end
    of campaign reconciliation and billing
  • Understanding client requirements and implement those systematically across campaigns
  • Learn to set up campaigns, placements and creative assets through our adserver (DCM), 3rd
    party ad serving partners, and publisher interfaces
  • Gradually increase trafficking knowledge advancing from simple creative setups,
    encompassing standard desktop display, mobile, and 1×1 tracking, to more intricate creative
    setups, encompassing but not limited to video and dynamic creative
  • Technologies: recommends and applies effective, secure and appropriate solutions using a
  • wide variety of digital technologies and tools over a range of platforms and user interfaces
    to achieve marketing objectives
  • Monitor campaign delivery to ensure campaigns are running as expected and targeting
    objectives are met. Check daily reports, providing updates in team meetings, and providing
    troubleshooting support for trafficking issues related to creative and publisher
  • Data: reviews, monitors and analyses online activity and provides recommendations and
    insights to others
  • Liaison with the Account Management team ensuring a timely launch and correct campaign
    implementation; addressing any questions/issues that may arise
  • Support senior team members on complex campaign setups and escalations to third party
    vendors when necessary
  • Support senior team members on projects
Who we are looking for:
  • Understands and can apply basic marketing principles
  • Understands and follows the required security levels necessary to protect data across digital
    and social media platforms
  • Computer literate with superior knowledge of Excel and a strong interest in internet
    technologies and media. Coding knowledge is a plus
  • Able and eager to learn new concepts and challenge the existing framework
  • Diligent with a strong attention to details
  • Strong quantitative, analytical & problem-solving skills
  • A self-starter with the ability to manage your own workload
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Initial knowledge of DoubleClick technologies, Google Analytics and/or other 3rd party ad
    servers would be a distinct advantage

  • This is a level 3 apprenticeship according to the Institute of Apprenticeships standards.
What we offer

Salary: £17,000

Duration: 15 months

Working week: 37.5 hours Monday – Friday
