HR Apprentice – Sumitomo

 

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To support the HR & Facilities Department in providing an efficient and streamlined service to the business whilst adhering to workplace rules, policies and employment law regulations. The role is responsible for completing a variety of administrative duties both independently and under supervision.

To successfully complete the HR Apprenticeship Level 3 in HR Support, gaining relevant skills and knowledge within the HR & Facilities department and applying learning in the role.
                             

SCOPE OF JOB

  • Completion of Level 3 Apprenticeship – Human Resources Support
  • Gain a good understanding of employment law regulations and to keep up to date with changes in HR rules/processes/employment law and the business
  • Support the recruitment process by posting roles on the intranet and internet; schedule interviews ensuring hiring managers have the necessary CV; prepare contracts and offer letters
  • Administer new starter processes including reference checks, DBS checks, creation of employee personnel file; oversee the completion of benefit documentation
  • Input new starters and leavers into the HR database
  • Assist in the company induction process by ensuring information slides and forms are kept up to date; schedule corporate department inductions
  • Prepare reference letters; visa invitation letters on request
  • Perform yearly visa audit
  • Handle day to day queries effectively using interpersonal skills and communicating through various methods
  • Assist in maximising the completion rate of performance related forms
  • Assist with ad hoc team projects
  • Minute taking in HR meetings
  • Assist in covering reception
  • To be aware of relevant company rules and policies
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/PERSONAL QUALITIES

 Qualifications:

A-Level or equivalent
