What you’ll be working on

To keep a fast moving, innovative and technology-focused company up and running is no mean feat. With over 500 employees located at offices in the UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Romania, Vietnam, and China with further growth expected for the future, we’re looking for an IT support apprentice.

What you’ll be doing
  • Responding to user questions logged on our IT Service Desk
  • Supporting end users – using Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS
  • Supporting users in our London office head office and at remote offices / showrooms
  • Setting up new users with all necessary accounts and closing down leavers
  • New starter / leavers equipment allocation
  • Installing and troubleshooting hardware and software
  • Managing corporate mobile phones with mobile device management (JAMF)
  • Administering cloud based telephone system and customer contact centre systems
  • Deploying standard computer images to all existing Windows, Mac and Linux users
  • Support and implement technology used in our showrooms
  • Creating and maintaining IT documentation for end users
  • Support printing and audio/visual facilities
  • Procurement of new hardware and software
  • Recycling and disposal of old IT equipment
  • Provide end-user IT training
  • Work on IT projects as required
What you’ll need
  • Keen to learn new technology and processes
  • Self-motivated and be able to work under your own initiative
  • Be adaptable and able to look for creative solutions to unexpected problems
  • Good interpersonal skills and enjoy helping people
  • Basic understanding of networking technologies and TCP/IP
  • Good troubleshooting skills with either Microsoft Windows 10 or macOS
  • Be able to balance your work and study time to be complete apprenticeship coursework and exams

The details

Salary: £18,000/ annually

Hours: 37.5 hrs, Monday to Friday 9:00 AM – 5:30 AM

Location:5 Singer St, Old Street, London EC2A 4BQ
