Marketing and Communications Apprentice

Supporting the Marketing Team, you’ll be an integral part of driving our recruitment marketing activities for a fast-paced business in an ever-growing sector. You’ll be expected to pitch in at all levels, wherever you’re needed.

Job posting and rewrites will make up a large portion of your role, so a good level of English and excellent organisational skills are essential. We’re looking for a ‘people person’, someone who can communicate with branch managers across the country and ensure we’re meeting their advertising requirements. This role will be a starting point and we expect the role to grow and to evolve with you.


Key Responsibilities

You will be supported to develop key skills that will enable you to undertake a variety of tasks such as:

  • Writing and posting job adverts
  • Manage and fulfill recruitment advertising requests from branches
  • Assisting with production of marketing materials and literature
  • Coordinating production of marketing communications
  • Uploading and updating our website and extranet
  • Managing our Google My Business account
  • Maintain Google place listings for branches
  • Writing blogs and other required materials
  • Order any signage requested for branches e.g. swing signs
  • Weekly update on credits used on job boards report
  • Perform market, competitor and internal research as agreed with the Head of Marketing/ Digital Manager
  • Assisting in writing reports and analysing data
  • Handle deliveries, checking accuracy and quality of goods, co-ordinate the distribution of materials between branches
  • Help identify and research suitable client and internal stories for staff and customer magazines.
Who you are
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE’s grade C or above to include English
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills, specifically written English
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, proof reading and collating complex information into reports
  • Excellent IT skills with specific experience of working with databases, CMS, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and social media
  • Highly organised with excellent time and project management skills with the ability to juggle a wide range of competing demands
  • Can work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Excellent team player, naturally helpful and ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent customer service skills.Desirable
  • Experience of WordPress,Drupal, CRM
