The 10th and 11th of May saw the annual CIPD Learning & Development Show come to Olympia in London, and this show delivered on its promise to be the biggest yet. With 180 exhibitors and thousands of visitors, the L&D community came together to network and share expertise in learning and talent management, leadership and coaching, training and new technology.
As partners of the CIPD, we were delighted to have a stand at the event where we were able to talk to members of the L&D community about our wide range of qualifications, as well as the Future of HR and Learning Hub and expertise in digital training.
CIPD’s Head of Learning and Development Content Andy Lancaster gave a packed talk on “how to create your own digital assets for agile learning” at the Digital Learning Arena next to our stand. In fact the audience was so big they were spilling out into the aisles!

Andy’s trademark snazzy shoes must have been worn out by the end of the show. As well as his agile learning talk he also took part in a discussion on unlocking potential with Laura Overton, CEO and Founder of Towards Maturity, plus he was giving demonstrations of our Future of HR and Learning hub and a whole host of other things to boot. Hopefully he’s had a chance to stop and breathe since then…!
We also had a few talks and demos over on the AVADO stand. As well as walkthroughs of our Virtual Learning Campus and Dot Native we had the pleasure of hosting Ben Rowland of Arch Apprentices to discuss how companies can make use of the new Apprenticeship Levy. The Levy was definitely one of the hot topics at the show this year, so having an expert on board to help explain the details was definitely a big help.
