About this role

Responsible for winning new logo business from defined territory and overachieving against your profit and customer satisfaction targets. Reporting to the Sales Manager this role is responsible for having an in-depth understanding of the business drivers, requirements, technological, political, economic and environmental influencers in a key opportunity.

A sound understanding of the market opportunity across Corporate Public Sector (CPS), the competitive landscape and BT’s product and solution portfolio is required, alongside the ability to bring these together to identify the best return on investment opportunities across the target customer base.

This role will be responsible for drawing information from group, customer, and market insights, and existing customer relationships to formulate a planned approach for each acquisition opportunity.

You will be on the frontline for BT Enterprise, driving to increase revenue and market share (share price impacting), using your skills in excellent relationship building, influencing, and negotiating skills, and have the ability to captivate potential customers interests from a cold start all the way to winning new business.

You will be accountable for acting as an ambassador both in the external market and within internal stakeholders, demonstrating best in class sales behaviour and delivering excellent customer experience results within your territory, as well as having the ability to own and articulate your winning sales plans and drive these into tangible sales activities, successfully engaging virtual teams.


You’ll have the following responsibilities

  • Accountable for achieving/exceeding business targets on a quarterly and an annual basis, expressed in terms of Gross Operating Margin, profit, volume and customer satisfaction
  • Accountable for developing effective engagement strategies across a defined base of regional customers
  • Accountable for creating and selling a compelling value proposition to customers to deliver profitable new business
  • Accountable for development of sales win campaigns to maximise the efficient use of resources across the region
  • Accountable for translating win plans process into sales with actionable steps for self and virtual team
  • Responsible for own personal development and agreeing development plans with your line manager.
  • To be fully conversant with the whole portfolio and can sell the value of BT’s propositions
  • Represent customer issues & agreeing resolution, engage as part of virtual team within win plan

You’ll have the following skills & experience

  • In depth knowledge of B2B sales
  • In depth knowledge of the Technology industry
  • Structured selling approach which considers technical, economic, user buying influences and be active at both influencer recommender and decision maker levels
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication
  • Strong capabilities in gaining entry into potential and new customers and establishing BT’s credibility as a potential supplier
  • Identifying opportunities for BT to play a part in customers business and crystallising those into specific sales pipeline opportunities.
