We are looking for a Digital Marketing Apprentice to join SMG and have have exposure to Digital Marketing strategies for leading FMCG brands.


Core Activities

The core functions of your role, what you will spend your time doing as well as what is required from the role for the team and wider business.

  • Provide day-to-day management and support to our digital campaigns, including bid strategies and daily budget tracking
  • Use insights from data to identify trends and help to improve optimisation strategies
  • Support on testing methodologies to test and learn across different approaches
  • Use a variety of digital tools and platforms, including DSPs, Ad servers, Audience Management platforms, Social Media   and SMG’s own evaluation & planning tool
  • Draft up end campaign insight reports to give an overview into the performance of campaigns and provide recommendations
  • Create campaign proposal documents for clients off the back of briefs
  • Keep on top of market trends and industry development which may be beneficial to our clients


Your Apprenticeship

What you will have by the end of the 18 months

  • A solid understanding of where digital fits into marketing strategies for FMCG brands and have become an integral part of the team with specialist digital knowledge
  • Developed your skill set across multiple channels and digital tools, comfortable with day-to-day management of campaigns and confident in a variety of optimisation techniques
  • Acquired a strong knowledge of the digital marketing industry and future trends which may be beneficial for our clients
  • Developed your skills through both internal and external exposure, providing and strong foundation for career growth
