As a Junior Data Analyst, you will work closely on our Paid Media, SEO and Inbound accounts to delve into the details of various campaigns, define how we measure performance and implement improvements across accounts. You will provide valuable insights that help drive successful digital marketing campaigns with our specialist teams and help clients to understand their customers and visualise data in a meaningful way.

 

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Producing ad hoc client reports and dashboards
  • Using BigQuery to report on trends in website behaviour incorporating statistical analysis
  • Using SQL to query client’s databases to provide ad hoc insights
  • Managing data storage for Semetrical’s internal reporting across a range of marketing platforms
  • Integrating data with dashboards to produce insightful visualisations
  • Completing bespoke analysis and research projects
  • Explaining task progress and insights to relevant teams as required
  • Helping to develop the quality of our analysis-based services
  • Utilising and researching new technologies and analytical methods that can be integrated into our reporting to improve our understanding of customers
  • Collaborating with other teams (SEO, PPC, Social etc.) to improve the quality of these services through the use of data
  • Regular meetings with senior members of the analytics team to understand task requirements.

 

Desired Skills Requires

  • Exceptional analytics skills – being able to manipulate and display data in an effective and insightful manner with a wider interest of databases
  • Strong Excel skills and an understanding of how to best visualise data
  • Strong usage of the Microsoft suite of products
  • Strong organisational, time-management and communication skills
  • Able to think independently and use initiative
  • Able to work effectively within a team
  • A strong desire to learn about other aspects of digital marketing
  • Interest in digital marketing – especially the desire to understand and solve problems
  • Some coding experience (e.g. SQL, JavaScript)
  • Experience in data analysis and presenting data in a meaningful fashion.
    Ideally, candidates will also have the following experience and knowledge, but they are not obligatory:
  • Experience in reporting to large organisations
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis
