AAT in UK, India and New Zealand

The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) is the UK’s leading professional body for accounting and finance employees with 125,000 members worldwide. The AAT qualification is universally recognised and a professional, highly respected sign of commitment and excellence in the industry.

Home Learning College is the UK's largest online provider of AAT qualifications. Our students learn the important technical theory needed to work as an accountant and how to apply this in a real-world setting. We offer a unique package that includes live classes, interactive tutor groups and a full exam booking service.

Our qualifications are based on practical, real-world accounting knowledge. AAT accounting qualifications will equip you or members of your team with core accounting skills, either as an entry point to finance or to build on experience and grow responsibility. Successful completion of the AAT pathway means you can receive generous exemptions with all the UK chartered and certified accountancy bodies.

AAT India

Announced: January 2013

After many years working with the AAT in the UK through Home Learning College, in 2012 we identified that we both shared a common objective to explore market entry in India – in particular since India had announced plans to train 500m people over a ten year period.

AVADO had online learning capabilities (considered to be essential for this market) and strong relationships through sisters businesses in the Blenheim Chalcot group. The parties decided to bring together their complementary assets and capabilities into a joint venture to explore and pursue market entry together.

The first collaboration was a successful pilot over three months to deliver training (from the UK) to 40 junior employees of one of the largest employers in the country. The next step was to develop a free mobile learning app combining best practice in mobile learning with gamification and social interaction to provide accessible, free skills training across India. The app was launched under Qualt.com.

By working with local training providers, skills focused institutes, universities and schools in India, we’ll be helping to address the skill shortage in our sector below Chartered Accountancy level and give employers bespoke training options to ensure employees are getting the necessary expertise to achieve high working standards.
