What will I need to start?
This is a course for experienced HR/L&D professionals, so you will need previous formal qualifications to get started.
You’ll need:
- Some HR or L&D experience with an interest in developing to management level
- Basic computer skills and access to a phone/tablet/laptop with internet
- A solid grasp of the English language (IELTS 6.5 or equivalent if English is not your first language)
- You must be over the age of 18 or have a third-party payee for any financial agreement
- A CIPD Foundation qualification or a relevant Level 3 (or higher) qualification

Each Award is recognised by the CIPD as an Intermediate Award in Learning & Development.
You will only be eligible for Associate Membership of the CIPD when you complete a Certificate or Diploma qualification in L&D.

On successful completion of this unit, you will understand current digital technologies and what makes for engaging digital learning content, and be able to design effective blended learning solutions.
Enhancing Participant Engagement in the Learning Process
On successful completion of this unit, you will be able to use stakeholder analysis to inform learning activities, understand motivation theory and use neuroscience and psychology to enhance engagement throughout the learning process.
Using Information Metrics and Developing Business Cases for Learning and Development
On successful completion of this unit, you will know how to scrutinise appropriate learning and development data and be able to conduct small-scale research in an area of learning and development to support a business case.
How will I be assessed?
At the end of each unit you will need to submit an assessment online which will be marked by your tutor. Each assessment will be tailored to the content of the unit.
