Last night, Paul Kirkwood, AVADO’s lead ACCA tutor won the Editor’s Choice award at the PQ Magazine Awards. On collecting this award, Paul said:
“I’m absolutely delighted, not just for me, this is for everyone at AVADO who have built the best online ACCA course!”
Paul was selected to receive the reward by PQ Magazine Editor Graham Hambly for his outstanding work as a tutor. Elaborating on his reasons for choosing Paul, Graham said:
“Paul Kirkwood is a lecturer who is not afraid to look ‘memorable’ to help students’ understanding of what can be challenging subjects. I haven’t seen a man wear a wig better than him! On a more serious note Paul really does make a difference to his students and he is recognised as being one of the UK’s very best tutors.”
Commenting on Paul’s award, Amy Crawford, Managing Director of AVADO Professional said:
“Massive congratulations to Paul for this well-deserved award. We are so proud of Paul and not at all surprised that he has been nominated by his students and recognised by editor of PQ Magazine. He is the driving force behind our ground-breaking ACCA programme and his warm, down-to-earth personality has been a huge factor in its success.”
This award recognises Paul’s huge popularity with his students, with 100% rating him ‘very good’ or ‘excellent’ and with many of them nominating him to PQ Magazine. It’s thanks to Paul’s teaching that his students have achieved a cumulative 90% pass rate since the launch of the course last year. Paul always puts his students first, one of them commented:
“Paul, as always, goes above and beyond in terms of support. Without Paul I simply would not have passed.”
