In September, it was announced that we were shortlisted for not 1, but 4 Learning Technology Awards. As the premier awards in the EdTech space, we were incredibly proud of all of our nominations.
We were nominated for:
- Learning Technology Company of the Year (UK)
- Best Online Learning Long Distance Programme x 2
- Best Learning Technologies Project
It was evident that our huge growth and innovation in the industry this year had been recognised. On the 29th November, at a wonderful awards ceremony in London, we were awarded two gold medals:
- Best Learning Technologies Project – International Public & Non-Profit Sector
United for Wildlife: Online learning to inspire the next generation of conservation leaders
ZSL and AVADO, under United for Wildlife, developed a new online learning platform providing free massive, open, online courses accessible and available to all. The aim is to inspire, engage and train a young global audience in conservation to address practical conservation issues.
The judges described it as: “A brilliant blend, using appropriate technology and languages. Collaboration & achievement levels make it highly motivational to complete, and it’s free.”
- Best Online Distance Learning Programme
AVADO: Transforming Online Accountancy Training
AVADO’s mission is to deliver a high-quality alternative to traditional ACCA classroom teaching, changing perceptions of online learning on a global scale. Our ACCA programme has been built from first principles, allowing us to provide our learners with an accessible, engaging, dynamic and collaborative way to build their professional skill set and achieve ACCA exam success.
The judges described it as: “An effective design, innovative, high learner engagement, tutor support and student satisfaction – shows how a traditionally dry subject can be converted into fantastic online learning.”
