Skills Ignition SG – Digital Marketing
Created for Singapore Citizens and PRs, Skills Ignition SG is a training programme that equips you with the skills you need to be job-ready in Digital Marketing.
Programme 1: Vocational training
You'll go through 6 months of vocational training in Digital Marketing, and you'll receive a monthly training allowance of S$1,500. Training costs $500, payable in SkillsFuture Credit.
Programme 2: Vocational and on-the-job training
If you land this training offer following a selection process by Google, you'll go through 3 months of vocational training in Digital Marketing, followed by 6 months of on-the-job training with Google or one of the host companies participating at the time.* There's no training fee, and you'll be paid a monthly salary throughout the 9 months.
* Your progression to the on-the-job training is contingent on your successful completion of the vocational training. You will be placed into Google or one of the participating host companies based on your job fit and qualifications. Placement with any specific host company is not guaranteed. Other terms will apply.
When will the programme start? What is the application deadline?
The Skills Ignition SG application deadline is August 21, 2020.
Programme 1 (vocational training) will begin as early as September 2020 and Programme 2 (vocational and on-the-job training) October 2020. Limited openings are available, so you are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. If all openings are filled for this first batch, you will be notified of future opportunities if you submit your contact information.
Who is eligible for this programme?
Skills Ignition SG is open to Singapore Citizens and PRs who are currently not employed. For other residency statuses, please refer to Google's Grow with Google courses.
Programme 1 is available to all graduates with at least two years of work experience. To qualify for the programme, you must have graduated in the calendar year 2018 or before from ITE, polytechnics, universities, or other educational institutions. Please note that this programme is not for those who have just finished serving National Service (NS) in calendar year 2019 or 2020 and are entering the labour force for the first time.
What are the prerequisites?
For the Digital Marketing path, you will need a Bachelor's degree; or a minimum of three years of work experience in marketing or a related digital field; or a polytechnic diploma and a minimum of one year of work experience in marketing or a related digital field.
