Communicating your insights
Best practice amongst your peers

What will we cover?

Workshop1: Why Data Visualization

During this session Amanda will walk us through why we visualise data, how we learn and tips and tricks for directing your data consumer to the insights you want to share with them, to help them make their data driven decisions.

Workshop 2: Storytelling with Data

We all love storytelling, because it grabs our attention, we often identify in some way with the story, we naturally process new information and remember it, and we even experience emotion. Data does not always speak for itself, during this session we will see how to use storytelling to communicate the results of your data analysis, understanding who your audience is and what prior knowledge they have, and which communication methods are most effective, depending on how you want to approach your data visualization.

Please note that you will sign up for BOTH webinars, links to which will be sent in your confirmation email.

Introducing our partnership with Viz for Social Good. An optional addition to your Data Analyst Apprenticeship, we're offering you the chance to channel your data visualisation skills towards the greater good.

Over the course of the next few months, you're invited to work with Viz for Social Good and a charity of their choice to make sense of their data and create visual data dashboards. The best ones will be chosen by the charity and used across their marketing, presentations and more.

What makes learning with us so special?

Our connected learning experiences blend the best practices of virtual learning and digital assessment. We use the 'apply, reflect and discuss loop.' This is a learning technique designed to ensure that learning lasts long after delivery. That means, after your course you'll understand how to apply your learning in real life. What's more, our programmes are flexible, allowing you to mould a learning experience that works for you.
