Recently, we spoke with CIPD Level 5 graduate, Regaynor Johal, to ask her how she found studying her CIPD qualification. Here’s what she had to say…
What made you start studying?
“I’ve never worked in the Human Resources field but after speaking with friends and colleagues, I finally took a leap of faith and I am so glad I did. I’ve just completed my Level 5 Certificate in Human Resource Management, and it was amazing!”
What made AVADO stand out as a provider?
“The support I received from AVADO and my peers on the course was incredible – no question was ever too silly to ask. Someone on our cohort even created a WhatsApp group which meant that those who wanted to have a support network, could.
My tutor, Andy Murphy, was also really helpful throughout. From start-to-finish he was always there to get me through – something that came as a wonderful and welcome surprise for an online course!”
What was your favourite topic on the course?
“All the modules were great – I’m particularly interested in Employment Law, so if I had to choose a favourite part, that’d be it! It was extremely useful.”
How did you find studying online?
“The online campus is where activities are completed, attend live classes and submit coursework. It’s easy to navigate your way around and it’s all available online, so you can keep up-to-date anywhere and at any time that suits you – extremely helpful if you’re always on the go like me!”
What’s next?
“Before enrolling, I had to put together a business plan for my employer explaining why it was worth me spending time studying during working hours, as well as in my own time. Now, I’d love to take what I’ve learned about and share this training with my colleagues – especially the section on Employment Law as it’s such a hot topic right now.
I could have completed the course face-to-face at a university, but I preferred the notion of flexible learning you get through studying with AVADO.”
