AVADO partner with CMI to provide leadership and management courses for the digital age

Over three million people are employed as managers in the UK, yet only 1 in 5 hold a management qualification. When it comes to training, managers are hugely neglected.

AVADO have partnered with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) to launch a brand new online qualification in leadership and managment to tackle this problem. Rather than having to take time out of the office, managers can now gain the highly regarded CMI Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in their own time, learning flexibly around their busy schedules.

Our programme addresses the issues faced by ‘accidental managers’ who may be experts in their field but don’t necessarily have the management knowledge and skills to help them lead a team. The Diploma tackles eight key areas including the project management, maximising team performance, financial decision-making and managing change.

As digital transformation experts, we also bring a unique digital focus to equip managers to lead in a digital age:

Managers are increasingly required to operate in a manner that takes into account the challenges of the digital age. They need to be more responsive, fluid and up-to-date. Our course will cover the key traditional leadership and management skills but will also apply a digital lens so managers can apply what they have learned in a digital context.”
Mark Walker, Head of Product Development, AVADO.

The Level 5 Diploma is equivalent to a foundation degree and is suitable for junior and mid‐level managers and is designed to equip them with the knowledge, skills and tools to excel in the digital future. Completion of the diploma is a key step towards Chartered Manager status – the highest professional status for managers. The first 12 month course starts in September 2018, and is fully online, with regular support from expert tutors and a guided set of milestones to keep learners on track.

Investing in this qualification has numerous benefits for employers by allowing their staff access to consistent, flexible and cost efficient training, helping them get a return on investment from their training budgets (including where relevant the Apprenticeship Levy) and ultimately improving business performance.

As a strategic partner, AVADO are working closely with CMI to provide the most up to date and relevant management courses with a firm emphasis on practical skills for the digital age.

With professional qualification pass rates of 95% and above, managers and employers can have confidence that, at last, a reliable, viable and innovative online provider can help them take the next important step in their career.
